Suburban Run 2009.

The second race in 2 weeks that start near my house. 2 weeks ago, it was Sengkang east. Today, it is Sengkang West. It was raining for almost the whole day yesterday. Luckily, there was no rain today.

Woke up at around 0615 hrs. As usual, prepare all the running stuffs. At around 0655 hrs, drove to the nearby HDB block carpark (Blk 142A). After reaching the carpark, have to give direction to Yuen See to the carpark. Meanwhile, Stanley and Kok Meng have arrived at the carpark.

4 of us then proceed to walk to the starting point. After reaching the starting point, Yuen See and Kok Meng went to the toilet. The queue for the toilet was very long. 5 minutes before the start at 8pm, Stanley and me proceed to the starting point first. Met Sam at the starting point and Yuen See make it before the race started.

Was doing around 6min per km for the first few km. 10km and 5km start at the same time. The u turn point marker for the 5km mark was very badly placed as it was on the road. Some 5km ruuners run to the 10km u turn point at punggol road instead. Yuen See even "tapped" me at the 1km and 7km mark. The sun came out around midway and i even have to stopped to get 100 plus 3 times along the route.

Did not managed a PB this time. Timing was around 1:02 this round. Sam is even faster than me this time.

After the race, collected the finisher medal, cap and took a banana. Drank 2 cups of milo from the milo van. Heard the queue for the finisher medal and baggage is very long.

We went for breakfast at Rivervale mall after the race.
