Energizer Singapore Night Trail Race 2012.

First road race of 2012, actually its trail race.
Decide to give this a try this year, running trail at night. Should be quite interesting and challenging.

Left home at around 1800 hrs. The plan was to park at the Zoo and walked the 1.5km to 2km to Lorong Asrama (which is the army training ground).
Had ran Lorong Asrama twice during TNF, but it was in the afternoon under the hot sun. This time, its going to be cool and dark.
Upon reaching mandai road, saw all the cars parked along Mandai road, so i follow suit and parked near the traffic junction. This save me the 1.5km walking out from the Zoo.

Reached the race carnival at around 1840 hrs. Took some pictures of the race carnival before the race flag off at 1930 hrs. Didn't know they sell Old Chang Kee and Ramly burger, so did not bring along any money. There are also free ice milo and Magnum ice cream for runners.

Race was flag off slighty after 1930 hrs. As expected, lots of up and down slope and some up slope was very long. There are also some steep down slope and the organiser was good to put up signs informing runners of the steep downslope. For the first 8km, i managed to jog without stopping except at the water points. After that it was jog and walk, especially at the middle section of the route. The 18km route was basically the 12km route + 6km route. Overall, managed to complete strong and was pleased with the 2.5 hours timing.

After crossing the finish line, collected the finisher medal, took some pocari sweat and ate 1 magnum ice cream. Make my way out to the car and drove home, reached home at around 2320 hrs.
