Saucony 100PLUS Passion Run 2008

This morning is the Saucony 100PLUS Passion Run. My first time running Passion Run.
Registered for the 15km run. Was in wave 3, starting time is 0700 hrs.

Woke up at 0445 hrs. After preparation, drove there and reach Bedok South Ave 1 leading into East Coast Park (ECP) service road (at around 0610 hrs). A jam has already built up. Try to park at carpark E2 or F2. But carpark was totally full. Luckily i did not try to park along the road as i saw at least 3 mata on motobikes summoning those vehicle that park along the road. No choice, create another line in between the carpark lots at F2. Have to reach there earlier next time.

Weather was perfect unlike yesterday where it rain for almost the whole morning. Cool and no sunshine for the whole run. Run was quite well organised. A lot of people thought that the distance markers was off by a lot. When I reach the 7km mark, my polar rs200sd is registering almost 7.8km - 7.9km. 100 plus point and water point was adequate. Since i carry my water bag along, i did not really drank from the 100 plus point except the later stage.

Down a pack of powergel at the 6km and 11km mark.

As expected, I managed to finished the race without needing to walk. My polar registered 15.66km for this 15km run.

Collected the finished medal and goodies bag after the run. I guess due to the slow speed that i ran, there was no queue at all when collecting the goodie bag.

Meet "my leader", Stanley after the run. He has completed the 10km race. Discover that he park near the seafood restaurant which has ample parking space. Next time must remember to park at the seafood restaurant for such a race.

Stay till the lucky draw until 1130 hrs. A waste of time as they need the keep on redrawing the lucky draw as many have already went back.

Forced to park in the centre of the carpark.

Bib and finisher medal.
